FAQS
How frequently should I use these shampoos on my dog?
The frequency of shampooing your dog depends on a few factors, such as breed, weather, activity level, skin type, and whether they have any specific skin conditions. Here are some general guidelines:
Healthy, Active Dogs (no skin issues):
Bathing once every 4 to 6 weeks is typically sufficient for most dogs. This helps to keep their coat clean and healthy without stripping their skin of essential oils.
Dogs with Skin Conditions:
If your dog has a skin condition like allergies, dandruff, or fungal infections, your vet may
recommend more frequent bathing with specific shampoos (sometimes weekly or bi-weekly). Always follow your vet’s advice for these cases.
Dogs that Spend a Lot of Time Outdoors:
If your dog plays outside often or gets dirty, you may need to bathe them more frequently, perhaps every 2 to 4 weeks. Just be mindful not to overdo it to avoid drying out their skin.
Tips:
Avoid Over-Bathing: Shampooing too frequently can strip the skin of natural oils, leading to dryness or irritation.
Use Dog-Specific Shampoo: Human shampoos can be too harsh for dogs, so always use products designed for canine skin.
Are these shampoos suitable for puppies?
All our shampoos have mostly natural ingredients and are free of any harsh chemicals. They are sulfate & paraben-free and are veterinarian-approved.
They may be used on all dogs over 8 weeks of age. For very young puppies, we specifically have Waterless Shampoo for Pups, which contains ingredients like Aloe Vera, Apricot, Oatmeal, Lavender, and Coconut oil.
Consult your veterinarian for specific needs for your pet.
Can these shampoos relieve itching or skin allergies?
Yes, our shampoos are enriched with soothing ingredients like Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil, Glycerine, Lavender, Neem, Shikakai, Apricot, Apple Cider Vinegar, and other natural essential oils.
These ingredients help calm irritation, reduce itching & allergies, and promote a healthy skin & hair coat.
What if my dog licks the shampoo?
Our shampoos are non-toxic, but it's always best to rinse thoroughly to prevent ingestion and any individual reaction. If a large amount is consumed, we recommend consulting your vet.
